Knuckles Mountain Range.
Knuckles is good for camping. It is with some official campsites of the forest department also. They are well prepared for campers with toilet facilities. But we have another places's to camping there. The only problem in camping in Knuckles is leaches.

Meemure village is in deep inside of the Knuckles mountain range.
Sorabora Lake Camp Site
Camping in Sorbora is memorable experience. This camp site is in the east near the city of Mahiyangana. Mahiyangana was the war camp site of king Dutugamunu in 2nd Century B.C. This place can be done canoe camping. Canoe camping is doubled canoe gets tight with a platform. On the platform, mount the camp tent and sleep when floating. Camping bonfire, barbeque, eye opener on request and mat singing party, early morning get up for sunrise for bird watching.
Vaddha Village.
The vadda village is also close to city of Mahiyangana. This village famous for camping. Vadda the indigenous people are always helpful for campers. But you should be aware about their culture
Wahawa Hot Spring Village.
Wahawa hot spring village is situated close to Vaddha village. Near by hot springs can be mount camp with 'hot water'.
Buduruwagala Temple
When traveling from Ella, Buduruwagla in the south is also interesting place for camping.
Tree top huts are used by the farmers here. This is a good opportunity for tourists to experience nature of the island.
